“My China-Pakistan Friendship Story” by Meng Fanrong

    To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan, “My China-Pakistan Friendship Story” Essay Competition was launched on January 1.

      The competition is guided by the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan and jointly organized by Overseas Chinese Association of Pakistan, Ex-Chinese Association Rawalpindi Pakistan, Overseas Chinese Association Gilgit-Baltistan Pakistan, All Pakistan Chinese Overseas Youth Federation, Huashang Weekly and China-Pakistan Educational Cultural Institute. 

   With the theme of celebrating the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan, this essay competition provides the opportunity for Chinese personnel in Pakistan, and Pakistani friends from all walks of life to submit contributions of 1000-word in both Chinese and English, regarding stories of people-to-people friendship experienced and witnessed in both countries, feelings and understandings of Chinese and Pakistani culture, customs, human history, physical geography and inspiring deeds of striving for exchanges and cooperation in various fields, as well as the touching and warm moments in the joint fight against the covid-19 epidemic in China and Pakistan.

    It is learnt that the solicitation of manuscripts will end on March 31, 2021. There will be first, second and third prizes and recognition awards for the works, certificates and prizes will be awarded. The final evaluation results will be announced in Huashang Weekly and the organizers’ official WeChat accounts.
