Maryam Nawaz’s Landmark Visit to China: Strengthening Punjab’s Future

Fostering Economic Growth, Youth Empowerment, and Bilateral Cooperation

Maryam Nawaz, Chief Minister of Punjab, recently undertook an eight-day visit to China, focusing on enhancing ties in key sectors such as agriculture, healthcare, infrastructure, and youth development.

Her visit resulted in significant agreements, including the introduction of robotic agricultural technology and telemedicine advancements to improve healthcare delivery. She also signed MOUs for combating air pollution and boosting cancer treatment facilities.

 

The Chief Minister emphasized youth empowerment and vocational training as priorities, aiming to equip Punjab’s workforce with modern skills. Chinese companies were invited to invest in Punjab’s Special Economic Zones, especially in IT, smart transportation, and eco-friendly technologies.

 

Cultural engagement was also a key aspect, with Maryam touring the CPC Museum to highlight the enduring friendship between the two nations. Her visit marks a pivotal step in strengthening Pakistan-China relations, with a focus on long-term collaboration and mutual growth.
